Synopsis:

Ronnie, a documentary filmmaker, confronts his upbringing to reinterpret the influences that shaped their perception of boyhood. He They is a film that explores the relationships between masculinity, self-perception and self-actualization.

Speaker: Ronnie Braithwaite

Born, raised and based in Atlanta, Georgia, Ronnie Braithwaite graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, studying marketing and motion pictures. Upon graduating from college, Ronnie wrote and produced the eleven-time award-winning film, Woke. As a Spring 2020 MBA graduate from Clark Atlanta University, Ronnie is a Learning & Development Consultant and subject matter expert on various DEI topics. As an independent documentary filmmaker, he is committed to creating narratives that inspire introspection that leads to self-growth and empowerment for marginalized black communities. In the fall of 2021, Ronnie made his directorial debut with the film, Bipolart. His films highlight stories about reconciling with internalized oppression connected to race, mental illness, and gender identity.
